Cheers – Lymm charity beer festival set to return

LYMM and District Round Table will be rolling out the barrel once again for its second charity beer festival.

Following last year’s successful inaugural event, this year’s will take place on 7th and 8th September in Lymm Village Hall and promises to be bigger and better with music from the Lymm concert orchestra, local singer Duncan Selby and Peter Corbett (aka the man behind Sooty and Sweep). There will also be a quiz and hot food available served by the Lymm Ladies Circle, who will also be providing free soft drinks for non-drinkers.

This year’s main sponsors are Evolution Recruitment Solutions and the Round Table is also seeking out organisations to sponsor one of over 20 beers and ciders that will be on sale. Barrel sponsorship is £75 for which sponsors’ names will appear in the programme, at the event and on the festival’s twitter feed (@LymmBeerFest).

Sponsors will also receive six tickets to the event including two VIPs who will be invited to attend from 5.30-7pm on the Friday, where there will be a chance to meet other sponsors, local dignitaries and members of the charities who have benefited from the Round Table’s donations. During this time all beer will be free-of-charge.

Lymm and District Round Table member and beer festival organiser Rich Storey said: “Last year’s event went so well, enjoyed by organisers and drinkers alike, that the beer festival is now a regular fixture in our calendar of events.

“We’re hoping for a great turnout again this year with even more money raised for charity in the process.”
