LYMM & DISTRICT 41 CLUB ACTIVE (41A)

We are a very informal group of blokes in our 40s and 50s who want to continue our social life and the active events we enjoyed in the Round Table. We are mostly ex-tablers, although we have several members who have joined us directly, and we would like to increase this number. Our target new member is anyone in their mid 40s to mid 50s although we do have members who are younger and older than this.

The 41A are a completely informal group with no commitment needed – just pay an annual £25 for our National 41 Club affiliation, and come along to as many or few events as you wish.

We leave the charity work to the RT as most of us have done our share in the past – however, we do lend them a hand if they need it for their big events such as Lymm Duck Race and the Lymm Charity Fireworks Display.

We try to get together at least twice a month.

We meet on the 1st Wednesday in the month for a scheduled activity, and past activities have included cocktail making, cycle treasure hunt, clay pigeon shooting, bowling, indoor skydiving, sailing, fencing, and a brewery tour.

Our second monthly meet is an informal pub meeting on the 3rd Wednesday of the month where we take turns in hosting a pint at a local pub – if anyone’s free that evening they can just turn up and have one, or stay for a few.

There are also a few meals out as well as a number of “Partners Events” such as wine tastings or house parties, where everyone gets to meet the other halves. We’re also planning a number of partner’s weekends away. In addition, there is an informal ladies group made up of 41A partners and others who meet regularly.

Currently we have about 30 members but we do feel that “the more the merrier” and would like to hear from you if you might be interested in joining.

Drop us an email or give Nick or Dave a ring for a chat if you are interested!
