Round Table fired up for bonfire night

THE Lymm and District Round Table’s charity bonfire returns to light up the night sky and entertain the crowds on Saturday November 8th.

This year’s event is once again sponsored by Kids Planet Nursery on Eagle Brow and held at Lymm Rugby Club on Crouchley Lane. It will feature slightly different timings than previous years with doors opening at 6pm, closely followed by bonfire lighting at 6.30pm, a children’s fireworks display at 7.00pm and main fireworks display at 7.45pm.

“We must say a big thank you to Kids Planet for sponsoring us again, they’re always keen to support our community events and it’s great that their children will be making the Guy this year too,” said Rob Spurr, organiser and Round Table member. “We’ve brought forward the bonfire lighting this year in the hope that we can keep people warm if it’s cold, plus there’ll be the popular funfair rides and lots of food and drink on offer.

“Hopefully the public will turn out once more and ensure we have plenty of money to donate to charity in time for Christmas.”

Tickets will be on sale by The Cross, Lymm, on the three weekends preceding bonfire night. Advanced ticket prices are £10 for a family (up to two adults and two children), £5 for adults and £2 for children, while on the door charges are £12 for family, £6 adult and £3 child.
